It ll stand like that for decades and should a repair ever be needed it ll be quick and easy instead of costing thousands and requiring the tear down of much of the patio.

We are planning to install a paver patio.
Can anyone see a problem with my doing that.

I am thinking that i will have to remove the sidin.
But one part of the patio would butt up against the vinyl siding on our house.
I think we should remove the siding and put in some kind of barrier before assembling the patio since we wouldn t want the pavers and crushed stone and sand base right up against the siding.
However in order to get the proper level of the patio to the back door i will have to go above the brick foundation lining into the vinyl siding on the outside of the house.

Cut the siding at the correct height and paver under it to the flashing.

We have vinyl siding which runs a couple inches lower than the patio door s bottom meaning that in order to accomplish what i want to do i would have to lay pavers right up to against the vinyl.
